UAS Programs Offered

Mt. San Antonio College offers three Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Certificates. Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certificate This certificate is designed for students who seek aviation training in Unmanned Aircraft Systems leading to certification as an FAA Remote Pilot, and training in the areas of flight planning, safety management, weather, and human factors. This includes hands-on instruction with fixed wing and multi-copter aircraft. Drone Mapping, Inspection and Thermal Imagining Operator Certificate This certificate is designed to give students specific skills to set up and operate UAS using multiple cameras to create 3D modeling, mapping, high-resolution imaging, thermal, multi-spectral for civil and commercial use in construction, surveying, inspection, public safety, fire and rescue. This includes hands-on instruction with multi-copter aircraft. Drone Still and Motion Camera Operator Certificate This certificate is designed for students who seek to specialize in video and still photography using UAS as used by cinematographers and commercial photographers. This includes hands-on instruction with multi-copter aircraft.
