Aviation Technology – Unmanned Aerial Systems, AAS
This degree will introduce the student to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and will allow them to learn about the regulatory environment, licensing requirements for an operator, operational issues, and commercial uses and limitations of unmanned aerial vehicles. This degree will also instruct students in basic and advanced flying skills with emphasis in photography, cyber security and various other topics.

Aviation Technology – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Cyber Security Certificate
This certificate will enable the students to prepare for the CompTIA Security+ certification. The course provides students with a broad foundation of network security concepts. Topics include security fundamentals, overview of cryptography, security policies and procedures, common types of attacks, and how to implement network security measures. Covers all current CompTIA Security+ certificate exam objectives, while also learning the operations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in relation to cyber security. This training will include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements to operate a UAV in a commercial environment as well as learn basic flying skills.

Aviation Technology – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Digital Photography Certificate
This certificate will enable the students to learn the basics of digital photography while also learning the operations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The coursework includes camera and lens operation, memory cards, file formats, exposure, white balance, composition, lighting, creativity, image editing software and output, and intermediate level exposure. This training will include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements to operate a UAV in a commercial or business environment as well as basic flying skills.
