About Trusted Operator
Trusted Operator is an industry-recognized credential for small UAS operations, combining FAA Part 107 knowledge with practical training based on NIST standards. Organized by AUVSI and administered by NCAT, a certified Trusted Operator Training Provider, the program follows a unique mentor/protégé model. NCAT partners with schools, training drone educators to become Trusted Operator Level 2 Remote Pilot Instructors, who then certify students as Trusted Operator Level 2 Service Providers.
NCAT is pleased to announce that it completed its Trusted Operator Training Provider audit and will soon expand through partner schools. With updated curriculum, the program will continue to ensure educators and students have access to professional-grade documentation and certification pathways.
NCAT's program helps to overcome barriers such as cost, documentation, and staffing requirements, making advanced UAS training more accessible to educators and students. To this end, NCAT has teamed up with DroneDeploy to create Elevate 107. Learn about this amazing scholarship opportunity by visiting Elevate.
