rovAR was designed through a collaboration of NSF ATE Centers and a non-profit educational organization. Collaborators include the National Center for Autonomous Technologies and MATE Inspiration for Innovation.
The simulation itself was developed by Nicolas Fish and Mike Pesavento, rovAR was developed to give students a real-world experience, while learning about the physics involved with underwater ROV.
