Strength Through Partnerships
Northland Community and Technical College, along with five partner agencies was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant in the amount of seven million dollars. This award facilitated the formation of the National Center for Autonomous Technologies (NCAT) hosted at the Northland Aerospace site in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
The NCAT team includes partners from St. Cloud State University (SCSU), Marine Advanced Technology Education for Inspiration and Innovation Center (MATE II), Center for Advanced Automotive Technology (CAAT), National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence (GeoTech), and the Minnesota State Transportation Center of Excellence to educate and promote autonomous technologies throughout the United States.
