EvaluateUR-CURE in Pilot Testing – Apply Today!

If you are teaching a course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE) in either/both the Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 semester, consider participating in the final round of the pilot implementation of EvaluateUR-CURE (known as E-CURE). E-CURE is a modification of EvaluateUR, an assessment method developed for independent student research experiences. The value of using E-CURE will far exceed the time that you and your students invest in it. The E-CURE method provides students feedback about their research progress and the process emphasizes students’ abilities to accurately self-reflect and consider how they solve problems and identify effective learning strategies.

Pilot testing of E-CURE is open to all faculty. Faculty teaching CUREs at community colleges are especially encouraged to apply. A modest stipend is provided for participating in the pilot and providing feedback.

To apply, please fill out the online application found here:  https://serc.carleton.edu/evaluateur/cure/pilot_application.html

After being accepted to participate, you will be required to attend a virtual session to learn about using E-CURE and setting up your course dashboard. You also are required to provide feedback about your experiences to help us further improve and enhance E-CURE.
