ABOUT THE EVENT
The Science Expo at Isothermal Community College on April 24, 2026, will feature a variety of hands-on STEM activities. As part of the event, our team will host an outdoor booth focused on unmanned aircraft systems, where middle school students can explore the science behind drones, including how cameras and sensors are used for imaging, mapping, and data collection.
In addition to demonstrations, the booth will serve as a Drone Safety Day initiative. Attendees will have access to educational materials covering the Federal Aviation Administration’s TRUST program for recreational flyers, an overview of the FAA Part 107 certification for commercial operations, and key safety guidelines such as airspace awareness, operational limitations, and responsible flight practices.
