UPCOMING EVENT
Universities + AMA: A Stronger Future for UAS Aviation
ABOUT THE EVENT
In March, the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) will host a focused webinar designed to connect colleges, universities, and industry expertise in a meaningful way.
Led by Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) President Greg Stone, AMA Education Director Kyle Jaracz, and AMA Clubs Director Ilona Maine, this 30-minute conversation will spotlight a critical challenge facing students today: great ideas sometimes fall short, not because of lack of creativity, but because of limited experience in model aviation fundamentals.
Drawing from real-world involvement in collegiate competitions and projects, Greg will share firsthand observations of both missed opportunities and standout successes. The difference? Students that leveraged the subject matter expertise of AMA members positioned themselves for stronger outcomes.
Ilona will expand on the formation of UMASC and the broader resources available through the AMA highlighting how universities can build meaningful partnerships with experienced mentors who elevate both learning and results.
Why This Matters
This webinar is more than a discussion — it’s an opportunity to:Strengthen ties between universities and local AMA subject matter experts [reach out to AMA to help collaborate!]
Encourage greater participation in UMASCS
Inspire AMA members to support collegiate programs through outreach and volunteering
