The event features hands-on activities, including live flight training using the NIST UAS Training Course, FPV drone flying, and outdoor drone flights supervised by FAA Part 107-certified pilots.
Participating organizations include Tiffin University Drone Academy, Seneca County Drone Team (Tiffin Police and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office), Ohio Department of Transportation (featuring drone simulators and a tethered drone), Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Homeland Security, CSX Railroad Police, FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam), Zephyr Drone Simulators, Angel Aerial Systems, and Ohio Drone Repair. Demonstrations will include drone-in-a-box technology, and a “Drones in the Community” forum at 12 P.M. will feature experts from law enforcement, ODOT, FAASTeam, and Tiffin Drone Academy discussing drone applications.
