This program offers a certificate (15 credit hours) and a minor (21 credit hours) that any student from across campus can add to their degree. The core classes focus on FAA certification, understanding flight basics, basic drone operation, applications of UAS technology, data collection and analysis, and an internship experience. Outside this area of focus, students can take elective courses as they are offered to support their direction in UAS (agriculture, journalism, engineering, etc).
