Aims Community College is an FAA Certified Part 141 Flight School that offers a UAS Basic Operator Certificate. This certificate prepares students to take the FAA Part 107 Certification exam, while also getting a great deal of hands-on flight experience in multi-rotor and fixed-wing drones. This certification provides students with knowledge in the national airspace system to include its structure, function, and operation. Students are given extensive training in subjects such as aviation meteorology, aircraft systems, aerodynamic principles, safety of flight, airport operations and communications, federal aviation regulations, aircraft performance and navigation.
